Student Scholarship Spotlight

Tower Creative associates regularly contribute to research and professional presentations that explore real communication challenges. These projects strengthen our strategic approach to client work while preparing students to think critically, analyze audiences and develop evidence-informed communication solutions.

Grace Hill participated on a team supporting Creating for a Cause, an experiential strategic communication initiative focused on nonprofit storytelling and community impact. For Spring 2025, Tower Creative Communications selected DSMAT as its client to support strategic storytelling, audience engagement, and mission-driven communication initiatives designed to strengthen community awareness and organizational visibility.

Creating for a Cause was developed as an experiential special topics course centered on using strategic communication to help nonprofit organizations tell meaningful, mission-centered stories. The course received national recognition when Professor Kleinmann accepted the PRSA Educators Academy Award for Innovation in Experiential Public Relations Education. The award recognized the course’s innovative model of connecting students with real community needs while developing professional communication skills through applied client work. View the PDF

Bryson Moore presented at Belmont University’s inaugural SPARK Symposium, sharing research developed through his Public Relations Research coursework. His presentation, Learning by Doing: The Impact of Experiential Learning Through Tower Creative Communications, examined the pedagogical value of applied client work within a student-run strategic communications agency.

Moore’s research was developed with mentorship from TCC Advisor Trenay Perry Bynum and was informed by an evaluation framework developed through collaborative work with Vanderbilt University’s Program Evaluation course, taught by Sarah Suiter, Ph.D. This partnership supported community-engaged learning by providing evaluation services to Nashville-based nonprofit organizations. Moore presented his findings at the SPARK Symposium, contributing to ongoing conversations about the role of experiential learning in preparing students for professional communication careers.
